THE GOLDEN DOOR TO HEAVEN
There once was a very rich land owner,
Who purchased a derelict Mansion House.
He had a wife, that was a real moaner,
For entertainment he used to shoot grouse.
Their new home was called “HAVEN”, which was nice.
They changed their Name Plaque to “HEAVEN” by chance.
Their door was old and had holes made by mice.
They bought a new golden door to enhance.
When folks saw the golden door, they would call,
To offer their time and work for some bread.
Folks were refused and made to feel a fool.
This is heaven, please don’t come here they said.
Later the rich man became ill and died.
He found himself knocking at his old door,
But of course, he wasn’t allowed inside.
This is heaven, please don’t come here, once more.
